As an Alternative Funds AML/KYC Analyst at JP Morgan within the Transfer Agency / Alternative Investment Services team in Ireland, you will operate as an experienced analyst and developing subject matter expert (SME). You will deliver AML/KYC onboarding and refresh activity end-to-end, apply sound judgement to risk-based decisions, and help ensure compliance across multiple fund domiciles (e.g., Luxembourg, Ireland, Cayman, U.S., and others as applicable).

 

Job responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end investor and intermediary/agent AML/KYC onboarding and periodic refresh activity, ensuring timely, accurate outcomes and clear evidencing.
  • Review and assess documentation and complete sanctions/PEP (and adverse media where applicable) screening in line with policy and procedure.
  • Apply relevant AML/CTF regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions and escalate higher-risk or complex cases appropriately.
  • Partner with Compliance/Risk and fund stakeholders (including MLRO/Compliance representatives where applicable) to resolve exceptions and drive cases to completion.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, maintaining trackers, mailbox activity, and clear status communications.
  • Support audits/testing/QA requests and contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and proposing practical process/control enhancements.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in AML/KYC onboarding, investor due diligence, transfer agency/fund services, or a related control function.
  • Working knowledge of AML/CTF requirements relevant to multiple fund domiciles (e.g., Luxembourg, Ireland, Cayman, and/or U.S.).
  • Strong judgement, attention to detail, and evidencing discipline; able to prioritise and deliver in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client/stakeholder-focused approach.

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience supporting alternative investment funds and intermediary models across multiple domiciles.
  • Experience supporting audits/testing and responding to evidence requests.
  • Developing SME capability (able to coach peers on standard requirements and share best practices).
