## About this Role
We are seeking an experienced Security Architect to lead the implementation of secure-by-design principles across products, platforms, and services. This role focuses on embedding security early in the development lifecycle through hands-on engineering, architecture design, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. The individual will drive the adoption of practical security controls, influence engineering practices, and contribute to strengthening the organisation’s overall security posture while aligning with Vodafone’s global standards.
## What you’ll do
Integrate secure-by-design architecture frameworks and actionable security configurations into data and analytics platforms and engineering workflows
Conduct architecture risk assessments, lead threat modelling sessions, and guide remediation through implemented controls
Develop and embed threat modelling practices across applications and platforms, driving maturity within engineering teams
Define and maintain secure reference architectures for cloud platforms, SaaS, APIs, microservices, and data ecosystems
Establish and contribute to architecture review processes by developing reusable security patterns and principles
Lead enterprise-wide threat modelling programmes across distributed systems, cloud-native platforms, and supply chain environments
Design security architectures for multi-cloud, Kubernetes, and Zero Trust identity-first models
Enable DevSecOps adoption by defining secure CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and supply chain protection
Provide expert guidance to senior engineering stakeholders on security risks, emerging technologies, and architectural trade-offs
Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, supporting collaboration and alignment
Document findings, recommendations, and action plans, ensuring clear reporting and accountability
Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and adherence to organisational values and security principles
## Who you are
A cybersecurity professional with 12–16 years of experience, including 7+ years in security architecture
Skilled in designing and implementing enterprise security architecture frameworks, secure design patterns, and reference architectures
Experienced in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), container security, and Kubernetes platforms
Proficient in Zero Trust architecture and identity-centric security models
Strong understanding of application security, including Secure SDLC, API security, and software supply chain protection
Capable of performing advanced threat modelling for distributed and cloud-native environments
Experienced in supporting large-scale digital transformation or cloud programmes
Able to influence engineering leaders and guide architectural decision-making
