Position: Changeover Laborer
Reports To: Conversion Manager
FLSA Status: Part-Time Hourly
OVERVIEW
Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for part-time Changeover Laborer at Cabarrus Arena & Events Center. Under general supervision, performs work as needed to clean, maintain, and prepare for events at the facility. Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks, which often require heavy lifting and a high degree of physical activity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform all aspects of the setup and conversion process in preparation for events. Duties may include setting up and removing tables, chairs, operable walls, barricades, stages, flooring, furnishings, and equipment.
Perform various duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met. These include but are not limited to loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and recycling to proper disposal area and replenishing supplies.
Perform light maintenance tasks such as painting, and patching.
Report irregularities, discrepancies, damage, and loss of property and safety concerns promptly to supervisor.
Ability to use appropriate equipment and supplies to clean and maintain the facility.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent.
Must have reliable transportation.
Operations worker experience is preferred.
Forklift, aerial work platform, scissor lift experience is preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Provide outstanding customer service, at-all-times, to internal and external customers.
Demonstrate knowledge of practices and procedures related to event set up & conversion, typical methods and techniques for cleaning and maintaining the facility.
Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, and patrons.
Follow all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures established at the facility.
Meet the physical demand of the job, must perform strenuous physical duties at times, including lifting, carrying, moving, and climbing.
Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
Work independently, exercising judgement and initiative.
Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
Must be able to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility, to stand for long hours and to talk and hear.
Performing work through repetitive hand/eye coordination.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk extensively; and is required to push and/or pull wheeled carts. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work under adverse indoor/outdoor conditions and exposure to dust, dirt, and cleaning agents.
