- As a Civil Engineer, the work focuses on roadway infrastructure projects that help solve real-world engineering problems by applying the principles and techniques learned in fields of Transportation Engineering, Construction Management, and Material Science to actual construction projects.
- Carried out checks on locations and investigated political factors to aid planning and reduce risks.
- Created in-depth construction plans and layouts with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, Civil applications tools, and client–owned software.
- Aided civil engineering tasks for the New Jersey Department of Transportation, plus Camden, Mercer, Cape May, Union, and Middlesex counties.
- Developed and managed comprehensive project schedules, including field work and report submission schedules, while monitoring and tracking project progress and preparing monthly project status reports.
- Took part in projects for infrastructure-like designing, site checks, and overseeing the project.
- Prepared detailed design drawings and construction plans, focusing on the design and development.
- Implement QA/QC processes to maintain project quality, including thorough review of field data, design and project evaluation reports, prioritisation, and optimisation of work programs as well as specifications by a registered Professional Engineer in compliance with NJDOT and County requirements.
- Performed quantity take-offs, engineering calculations, and cost estimations for bid packages and project proposals, as well as understanding and applying the concepts of life-cycle analysis and their relevance to infrastructure maintenance, rehabilitation, and reconstruction.
- Conducted site evaluations to assess existing conditions, gather data, and inform design solutions. The successful candidate is expected to work as a Team Player and have good communication and interpersonal skills.
