As a Trade and Working Capital - Payments & Loans Analyst in Trade & Working Capital Operations, you will process and authorize trade finance transactions that facilitate the purchase and sale of goods while helping mitigate associated operational and regulatory risk. You will monitor workflow queues, investigate exceptions, escalate issues, and ensure activity is completed in line with procedures, controls, and applicable rules. You will also partner with internal teams to improve delivery outcomes and contribute to projects that enhance how we operate.

Job responsibilities

  • Process and review trade finance transactions in line with internal policies and applicable international rules.
  • Monitor transaction queues, prioritize work, and allocate items to ensure timely, high-quality completion.
  • Follow up on pending items and ensure deliverables meet agreed service standards.
  • Identify red flags and potential regulatory or compliance concerns and escalate for review.
  • Adopt best practices by partnering with other transaction teams to support timely delivery.
  • Escalate service-impacting issues promptly and communicate status clearly to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with team members and partners across sales, service, and product to support smooth execution.
  • Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve exceptions with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assess upstream and downstream impacts to support end-to-end process integrity.
  • Research and resolve issues through detailed investigation.
  • Participate in new projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Have 5 years of trade work experience.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrate fluency in English with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate understanding of United States regulations and Office of Foreign Assets Control compliance.

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Demonstrate project management and stakeholder management experience.
  • Demonstrate banking industry experience, preferably with accounting and finance exposure.
  • Hold a Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists certification.
  • Hold a Certificate in International Trade and Finance certification.
