Become the Purchasing Agent you've always aspired to be
- Coordinate and oversee daily workflow to ensure efficient operations of the department.
- Negotiate prices and contracts with outside vendors.
- Manage the purchase order process for hospital supplies.
- Ensure that required documentation and inventory logs are maintained in accordance with policy.
- Perform a physical inventory as required by hospital policy.
- Review and update all departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain and manage purchasing process to ensure that par levels are consistently met.
- Manage inventory to optimize the cost of supplies and equipment.
- Maintain a daily rental equipment log.
- Order medical and clinical supplies for the hospital.
- Forward all invoices to accounts payable for timely processing.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2-3 years of hospital supply and purchasing management preferred.
- Previous management/supervisory experience preferred.
