Become the Purchasing Agent you've always aspired to be

  • Coordinate and oversee daily workflow to ensure efficient operations of the department.
  • Negotiate prices and contracts with outside vendors.
  • Manage the purchase order process for hospital supplies.
  • Ensure that required documentation and inventory logs are maintained in accordance with policy.
  • Perform a physical inventory as required by hospital policy.
  • Review and update all departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and manage purchasing process to ensure that par levels are consistently met.
  • Manage inventory to optimize the cost of supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain a daily rental equipment log.
  • Order medical and clinical supplies for the hospital.
  • Forward all invoices to accounts payable for timely processing.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of hospital supply and purchasing management preferred.
  • Previous management/supervisory experience preferred.
