The healthcare landscape is rapidly changing. The Associate Software Engineer will work to deliver on projects.  This person will work in a fast-paced environment where the collective team emphasis is to generate market driven solutions that work. The successful candidate will be required to collaborate effectively with developers, offshore development team members, business owners, project management, and other internal stakeholders. We develop highly innovative customer-facing applications in healthcare analytics to generate performance, improvement opportunities, and value for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Work within the team developing and supporting analytics systems with patent pending technology and applications to support our in-house audit partners.
  • Design and implement new solutions.
  • Learn new technologies and apply them to the problem space.
  • Peer review software changes by other developers.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team on development.
  • Document the specifications, design, features, and operation of applications prior to production rollout.
  • Work collaboratively with business partners to define and ensure the completeness and accuracy of system/technical requirements.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • year of industry experience.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of software engineering principles, design principles, performance, and applications that scale.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 1+ years of industry experience in software development using Java/Scala programming language
  • 1+ years’ experience with Microservices and the Spring Framework.
  • 1+ years’ experience with web services and RESTful API development.
  • 1+ years’ experience in SQL, NoSQL and databases.
  • 1+ years’ experience with distributed/cluster computing concepts and cloud-native applications.
  • 1+ years’ experience in container technology and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • 1+ years’ Experience with Kafka stream processing using tools like Kafka Streams and KSQL.
  • 1+ years’ experience with designing and developing cloud applications: AWS, GCP or similar.
  • 1+ years’ experience working with Spark applications is preferred.
  • 1+ years’ experience using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, etc.) under guidance from senior engineers to assist with implementation, testing, and debugging.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: 

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.

  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area. 
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.

 

Base compensation ranges from $77,000 to $97,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
