Summary

The service driver moves pallets to the trim line, weighs combos in preparation for the next process step and stages tumbled product for pits loading. This employee is under the supervision and direction of the Team Leader.

 

Essential Functions

  1. Retrieving raw materials from Raw Receiving and transport the pallets to the trim line.

  2. Issuing and producing raw materials from the trim lines, injection, and tumble.

  3. Down stack and up stack raw meat combos in combo cooler. Helping Raw Meat at the end of the night with combo organization and minimizing downtime in Injection by locating product and maintaining combo organization.

  4. Organize combos for the next step in the process and label each combo with the contents inside.

  5. Cover every combo with blue plastic to avoid potential contamination while combos are staged for the next process.

  6. Perform daily pre-operational checklists for lift trucks, forklifts, and walkies.

  7. Ensure lifts are placed back in the correct location at the end of the day and are connected to the charger correctly.

  8. Be aware of our procedures for submitting work orders when lifts need maintenance and provide all necessary information for work order submission.

  9. Perform any other work duties deemed necessary by Supervisor/Team Leader.

Work Environment

Fast-paced manufacturing environment. Will spend significant time in production areas with temperatures ranging from 35 degrees Fahrenheit to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that have must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, must be able to bend, stretch, push, or pull as needed. Occasional lifting to 60lbs.

 

Position Type: Full Time Position

 

Required Education: High School Diploma

 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  1. Company certified to operate equipment (i.e. forklift).

  2. Basic understanding of scanning and using AS400.

  3. Basic understanding of raw meat trim and injection procedures.

  4. Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
