About the Role:

  • Health & Safety Management Develop, implement, and maintain the site HSE Management Plan. Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, client specifications, and company HSE policies. Establish and monitor safe work practices for all construction activities. Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits.
  • Risk Assessment Prepare and review Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Risk Assessments. Identify hazards and recommend effective control measures. Ensure Method Statements incorporate appropriate safety precautions.
  • Safety Training Conduct safety induction for all new employees and subcontractors. Organize toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness programs. Provide specialized safety training for high-risk activities such as: Working at height Confined space entry Hot work Lifting operations Electrical safety
  • Incident Investigation Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions. Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. Prepare incident investigation reports.
  • Site Monitoring Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with safety procedures. Verify use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Stop unsafe work when immediate danger exists. Coordinate with supervisors to rectify unsafe conditions.
  • Legal Compliance Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and occupational safety regulations. Maintain statutory safety records and documentation. Coordinate inspections by government authorities and client representatives.
  • Emergency Preparedness Develop emergency response plans. Conduct mock drills for fire, evacuation, medical emergencies, and rescue operations. Ensure emergency equipment is inspected and maintained.
  • Environmental Management Monitor waste management and housekeeping. Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials. Control dust, noise, and environmental pollution.
  • Documentation & Reporting Maintain: Safety inspection reports Training records Permit-to-Work records PPE issuance records Accident and incident reports Safety statistics (TRIR, LTIFR, etc.) Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.
  • Contractor Management Evaluate subcontractor HSE performance. Ensure subcontractors comply with project safety requirements. Conduct periodic safety performance reviews.

About You:

  • Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Professional Safety Certification such as: NEBOSH IGC OSHA (30-Hour or 500) IOSH Managing Safely Diploma in Industrial Safety Additional certifications in First Aid, Fire Safety, or Incident Investigation are desirable.
  • Experience 8–15 years of experience in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or commercial projects.
  • Experience managing HSE on large construction sites.
  • Familiarity with international safety standards and client HSE requirements.

  • Completion of scheduled safety training and toolbox talks.
  • Reduction in unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
  • Positive safety audit scores.
  • Emergency drill performance and preparedness.
  • Working Conditions Based primarily at construction project sites.
  • Frequent site inspections, including work at height and outdoor environments.
  • Coordination with project managers, engineers, contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
  • May require extended working hours to support critical construction activities.
  • This job description is suitable for Safety Manager positions in commercial buildings, industrial plants, airports, infrastructure, and large-scale construction projects.
