Yacht Concierge - Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi
The Yacht Concierge at Waldorf Astoria Maldives will be responsible for delivering a seamless, personalized, and memorable arrival and departure experience for all guests. The role will serve as a key point of contact during yacht transfers, ensuring that every aspect of the guest journey is carefully coordinated and executed to the highest luxury service standards. The Yacht Concierge will anticipate guest needs, provide warm and attentive service, assist with luggage and transfer arrangements, and coordinate closely with the resort and relevant operational teams. The role will proactively address guest requests, special occasions, and individual preferences while ensuring clear communication throughout the journey. Through genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and personalized service, the Yacht Concierge will create a smooth, comfortable, and exceptional guest experience
Specifically, as a Yacht Concierge for Waldorf Astoria Maldives you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
Main Duties:
To fully support the Company’s values and culture to ensure guest satisfaction.
To be fully familiar with the Waldorf Astoria Brand Standards and the Quality Assurance Audit and to follow these standards of service at all times.
To keep up-to-date with the SALT results and to seek to positively influence these results by following the Waldorf Astoria Brand Standards.
To maintain a high guest service focus by approaching your job with the guests always in mind and being proactive in a timely manner towards their needs and requests.
To have a positive impact, taking personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, always clearly communicating with both guests and colleagues.
To maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene at all times by adhering to the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Grooming Standards.
To report to duty punctually and consistently.
To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the resort’s policy relating to fire, hygiene, health, and safety and take necessary action when required.
To provide guests with friendly, efficient, accurate, and polite service at all times.
To be flexible, responding quickly and positively to changing requirements including the performance of any tasks requested of you.
To take direction from and carry out any requests by management in conjunction with work.
To always provide guests with an enjoyable and memorable experience.
To be able to deal with situations as they occur and to solve problems before or as they arise, handle guest complaints in a professional manner, and involve Duty Manager or Asst. FOM/FOM necessary
To sell the resort’s facilities and services by talking to guests about F&B events, excursions, and cruises.
To attend and actively participate in training sessions and monthly communication meetings
To keep excellent relationships with the team, peers, and all other colleagues of the hotel.
To initiate the required training for the transportation team in cooperation with the AFOM/FOM and Human Resources
Ensure yachts are well maintained and report any damage and have rectified immediately.
Ensure readiness of yacht prior to guest arrival, this includes pre-boarding, cabin check, toilets, food and beverages up to standard, aroma, AC, music, etc.
Yacht Concierge to obtain all information about arriving guests. (VIP status/ Flight Information / Celebration / Children Names, etc.)
Yacht Concierge stands outside the door, and greets arriving guests. Assisting the elderly and children as they board the yacht.
Serving towels and refreshments to guests as soon as they are seated followed by a safety briefing.
To ensure all guests are adhering to the safety and security regulations of the yacht. Life jackets must be put on children below 12 years old when they are on the upper deck during rough weather.
Seasick wrist band and bags are offered to guests who shows the universal sign of seasickness (Malaise, fatigue, closing eyes, hand on the head)
Inquiring interest from the guests so that it could be passed to the Personal Concierge upon arrival.
Bidding fond farewell to guests.
Any other tasks as requested by our guests, supervisor, or Management of the resort

Experience
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the same or similar role, experience as a Yacht Concierge, Butler, Concierge, or guest experience role in a Luxury Resort.
Knowledgeable of multi-cultural service protocols and standards.
Strong ability to operate and successfully arbitrate in a complex international and multicultural environment.
Excellent guest relations and problem-solving skills.
Good planning and execution skills with the ability to be persistent while focusing on detailed elements of tasks.
Excellent time management, organizational, communication, and motivational skills.
Have impeccable follow-through.
Competences
Candidate must have a good command of spoken and written English
Pays attention to detail and has strong customer service skills.
