Description of the Job:
Mount Sinai Department of Pathology is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the field of COVID-19 serology. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research on the immune response to SARS-CoV-2, focusing on antibody detection, characterization, and the long-term immune protection provided by vaccines and natural infections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize high-throughput serological assays for the detection of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2, utilizing clinical chemistry automation platforms.
- Collaborate with clinical chemistry laboratories to streamline COVID-19 serology testing within automated systems.
- Analyze data to assess antibody prevalence, immune response duration, and correlate clinical outcomes with serological findings.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration with immunologists, clinical chemists, and bioinformaticians to enhance diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency.
- Prepare manuscripts for publication in high-impact journals and present findings at national and international conferences.
