Primary Purpose of the Position:
Superintendent, Plant Process (Front End) is responsible for supervising and driving plant maintenance process optimization for the functional area assigned in a 24/7 Manufacturing. They lead a process team to enhance plant performance in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
What will you be responsible for?
- Support development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the food safety system.
- Establish maintenance procedures on equipment, including planning, budgeting, execution, and periodic review.
- Apply knowledge of functional area to conduct system and process analysis, identifies opportunities for improvement, and makes recommendations to management.
- Participate in designing and overseeing new systems and processes that improve and enhance plant performance in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
- Coordinate and apply maintenance techniques directed toward monitoring and reducing maintenance and repair costs.
- Arrange for maintenance of adequate level of supplies, materials, and parts so that there will be no interruption in operations due to shortages.
- Arrange for training of employees in proper maintenance programs and procedures for plant production equipment.
What are we looking for?
- Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college degree level education or work-related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Job related experience for 5 year(s) minimum
- Working knowledge of the following areas:
- production processes
- product specifications and technology of equipment
- generally accepted supervisory practices and procedures
- Ability to apply intensive and diversified evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard plant production, chemical process, and warehouse techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Ability to negotiate with contractors for facilities/building maintenance.
- Works in both office and manufacturing environments.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Expected Hiring Salary Range: $85,900-$119,890 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)

- Onsite Work Environment: This requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site. Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
