Engineering and delivery ownership of hardware development deliverables and systems that support the GitHub/Azure Edge product portfolio. Collaborate with internal teams and ODMs to develop requirements and specifications for engineering design and validation deliverables. Maintain engineering ownership and perform execution oversight of the hardware development plan and processes, security, quality, and deliverables with external partners/ODMs Collaborate, align, and drive deliverables and change management with internal Hardware and Mechanical design and Validation, Firmware, Software, and Manufacturing Operations teams throughout the product lifecycle. Apply experience in hardware design, debug, test/validation, firmware/software integration, bill-of-material (BOM) and change control in product lifecycle management. Perform engineering engagement with hardware component suppliers and ODMs Drive and contribute to product failure investigations including supplier and internal root-cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action (CA) processes to address design, component, and manufacturing defects and quality issues. Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Experience with Mac/macOS and Linux computer systems and test environments; hardware, software, and firmware. Experience in automation and test software programming, tools, and scripting including PowerShell, Python, or equivalent environments for hardware and firmware validation testing. Strong hands-on skills and expertise in hardware testing and validation, diagnosis, and problem solving in a lab environment. Skills to work independently and as part of a larger development team and have demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
