Validation Engineer
Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Validation Engineer based in Dumbarton. You’ll lead the validation of new and existing products, equipment and technologies, ensuring they meet performance, reliability and quality standards. You'll design and coordinate testing programmes, analyse results, and provide expert technical insight to support product innovation and continuous improvement across Aggreko's global operations.

What you’ll do as a Validation Engineer:
Take ownership for the validation of new & existing Aggreko products, 3rd party products and new technologies to improve performance, operating efficiency, total cost of ownership, new needs in the market, quality and reliability.
Create development test/validation plans (DVP) based on high level requirements specified by engineering and product line teams.
Establish & co-ordinate requirements to execute validation plan considering test facility set up, equipment, instrumentation, procedures and training.
Co-ordinate effective execution of DVP with Development Test Engineers.
Document test/validation process and results. Analyse results to establish conformance against agreed requirements and generate reports to be shared with engineering and product line teams.
Support validation projects at Manufacturing, operations sites/depots and other facilities including vendor locations. Establish a reputation for expert technical advice
You are:
Degree-qualified Electrical or Mechanical Engineer, ideally with a Graduate Apprenticeship or early-career experience in product development, validation, testing or design.
Innovative systems thinker with the ability to develop real-world test methods, challenge existing processes and embrace emerging technologies.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with a solid understanding of engineering principles, testing processes and commercial considerations.
Excellent communicator and relationship builder, able to work effectively with internal teams, customers and stakeholders at all levels.
Commercially aware and customer-focused, balancing reliability, maintainability and performance within practical constraints, with the flexibility to travel across Europe and internationally when required.
