Position Summary The primary purpose of this position is to lead the Samsung Experience Stores, our physical store retail business, by leveraging performance, consumer insights, markets trends and new product development to build and deliver a profitable experience and business. This position will lead the financial planning analysis, performance, metrics, and day-to-day activities to ensure seamless business processes.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Leading a team of operational management, merchandising, visual merchandising, marketing and consumer experience professionals in the development of short and long term assortment strategies to maximize sales and profitability in physical retail locations
  • Optimization of business and financial outcomes using sales data/results, consumer insights, and competitive intelligence
  • Retail Operations and Sales Enablement
  • Building strong partnerships with internal partners and channels
  • Working closely with 3rd Party operator of store locations to collaboratively drive store performance.  Also work with SES field leadership in delivery of outcomes.
  • Coordinate, consolidate, and manage the operations and forecasting processes, including the monthly forecast, actuals, annual operating plan, monthly operational review decks, and ad-hoc reporting
  • Provide financial oversight for spend analytics, developing reports, and managing information that enables recommendations and review actions for business opportunities
  • Review and summarize monthly store performance. Proactively manage and communicate emerging risks and opportunities in cooperation with the operations and global finance team.
  • Manage team performance and succession planning to create a winning culture. Coach and develop direct reports to meet performance and development goals

Skills and Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A/B.S) in Business, Merchandising, Operations; advanced degree preferred
  • NEW: Minimum of 14 years of total experience, with at least 7+ years merchandising experience required. Finance, marketing, product development, procurement, services and operations background beneficial.
  • NEW: Strong retail experience working for either a national retailer or manufacturer selling into consumer electronics, with a proven track record of driving sales growth, optimizing store operations, and enhancing customer experience in a competitive market.
  • Strong operations experience to include merchant and vendor management.
  • Strong financial analytics; having led finance professionals.
