Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business and have significant impact across the lifecycle of a trade. We partner extensively with a range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with our external client base, playing a key role in the overall client experience. We have a Client relationship group, dedicated to overseeing the Organizational service performance and strategic partnership for our top tier client base, where we play a key role in supporting our global clients to ensure they have a first-class experience when doing business with Citi.

Our Business Intelligence and Process Re-engineering group works alongside our Operations teams delivering automation solutions to solve for operational challenges. We partner with Citi’s innovation labs to drive optimization, and overall play a pivotal role in enabling us to transform to achieve our target operating model.

Our Technology partners develop and implement a wide range of applications that support the Operations, Change, Design and Implementation groups in providing innovative products and solutions. Job Purpose:

The Markets Process Engineering team has been formed to support stakeholders both within Operations and across the bank, to design and deliver a multi-year transformation roadmap. Our transformation is underpinned by strategy, investment change execution and a market leading change delivery team focusing on program and project management, business analysis, process re-engineering and low code application development.

The Futures and OTC Clearing franchise is an agency business providing trading and clearing capabilities across 40+ exchanges to our clients and proprietary lines of business such as Equities, Rates, Commodities, FX and Prime D1. The business is embarking on a strategic re-engineering of its platforms. This is a multi-year initiative, moving to real-time computation, and with ambitious goals to design and deliver a more robust, strategic, well controlled end state for Futures and OTC Clearing Operations.

We are recruiting for a Project/Business Analyst to help lead the delivery of strategic initiatives. This is a great opportunity to join a growing, global, and dynamic change management team, delivering a major Tier 1 program.

The role will work in partnership with the Futures and OTC clearing business, global operations teams, technology and downstream areas such as finance and regulatory reporting.

The core responsibilities of the Project Manager and Business Analyst include but not limited to the following:

  • Develop and manage project plans, define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements to ensure successful project execution.
  • Manage project lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring that project deliverables are met and proper evidence provided.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, developing and implementing effective mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including project charters, requirements, RAID logs, and status reports.
  • Facilitate and lead project meetings, including kick-offs, status updates, working groups and governance forums, to ensure clear and consistent communication among all project participants.
  • Conduct business and data analysis to document business and operational processes and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed process maps, use cases to support business and functional requirements
  • Analyze existing business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, and assist in designing enhanced workflows
  • Coordinate and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that developed solutions meet business requirements and are fit for purpose.
  • Prepare senior level presentations to communicate project updates
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Business, Operations, Technology, Compliance and other functions to ensure successful project implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Project Management and Business Analysis experience
  • Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) Regulatory Reporting knowledge is a plus
  • 2-3 years operations experience (preferably in banking)
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Strong ability in use of Microsoft Applications (PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Word, Excel, Access)
  • Proficient with the project life cycle (Waterfall & Agile)
  • CAPM, PMP, PgMP and/or MBA are a plus
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills required to persuade and influence others; may negotiate with external parties.

Role Overview:

The role we are recruiting for is a hybrid Business Analyst / Project Manager role aligned to the Equities business. You will be part of the Futures & Derivatives Clearing (FDC) and Equities Operations Program Execution Team, a key component of the Markets Ops Transformation organization. The team drives strategic transformation and delivers Target Operating Models for FDC and Equities Operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

What you'll do:

  • Project Leadership & Delivery: Manage end-to-end projects from defining scope, milestones and deliverables with stakeholders to ensuring successful, on-time delivery meeting business needs.
  • Planning & Documentation: Develop comprehensive project documentation, including charters, business requirements, plans, and risk/issue logs.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor project progress, resources, and risks, identifying and escalating issues promptly and providing timely, clear updates and presentations to all stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Process Optimization: Lead business analysis efforts, clarify requirements, and drive the development and implementation of innovative, efficient processes for Equities Operations.
  • Risk & Compliance: Apply robust risk management practices and ensure regulatory compliance to protect the firm's reputation.
  • Team & Collaboration: Drive resource planning and foster strong cross-functional collaboration across Business, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and other departments.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Champion change management and undertake additional strategic projects/tasks as required.
