Job Description Summary

As Castings Commodity Leader you will be at direct report of the Avio Aero Sourcing Leader.
You will lead the relevant commodity, supported by Buyers, and by casting technical leaders .
In this role, you will lead the relevant commodity organization, working closely with and providing guidance to Buyers and Casting Technical Leaders. You will ensure coordination among sourcing, supplier quality, procurement operations, and technical teams to enable the successful execution of business objectives and long-term commodity strategy

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Drive the development and deployment of sourcing strategies aimed at ensuring supplier performance, continuity of supply, quality, cost competitiveness, and supply chain derisking.

  • Be responsible to develop for its commodity the relevant long run forecast and will work jointly with the Sourcing Strategy leader to harmonize it in the overall Sourcing strategy and supply base foot print.

  • Ensure sourcing process integrity, productivity optimization, quality and fulfillment. 

  • Develop supplier/buyer contractual relationships to meet the business needs also through contracts negotiation

  • Apply a comprehensive knowledge of financial/business concepts, negotiation dynamics, project management, Company  processes and procedures.

  • Drive the commodity to meet Supply Chain and Company’s goals and targets, contributing to setting the most effective organization and identifying and mitigating risks.  

  • Partner with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure robust supplier capability and industrial readiness.

  • Monitor market trends, supplier risks, and capacity constraints, implementing mitigation plans where needed.

  • Own Commodity metrics such as but not limited to Suppliers KPI, Net Deflation, Cost out, non-quality cost recovery.   

  • Set and develop a strong relationship with the involved plants to ensure full support in order to comply with Customers deliveries requirements.

  • Set and develop a strong relationship with the extended team @ GE Aerospace.

  • Utilizes and shares knowledge from collective negotiating experiences to successfully execute agreements and handles multi-party, sole source, and complex negotiations.

  • Strengthen and develop the supplier base for the relevant commodity also ensuring a renewal of it.

  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the commodity organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering/ Scientific education).

  • Knowledge of Avio Aero Product particularly for what concern turbines.

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with proven ability to coordinate and oversee complex product.

  • Sound experience in negotiation, program/ project management and supply chain processes.

  • Fluent written and spoken English.

  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulations, is required.

Contract Level: CCNL Dirigenti Industria

Salary range for this role: 90,600.00 - 120,800.00 EUR Annual + Performance-related bonuses​


Compensation will be defined within the published salary range, reflecting the candidate’s experience, developed skills, and overall alignment with the role’s responsibilities.
