The Executive for VPMS plays a critical role in terms of supporting delivery of the Company’s growth strategies by working on system implementation for new products or any enhancement works on the VPMS side of the Integral Life (IL) system.
The role holder is responsible for:
- Assessing the VPMS Modelling gap list and requirements by identifying any gaps, areas, or formulas that need improvement, including understanding the requirements and integrations for new models or enhancements to existing ones.
- Developing and coding VPMS models to ensure new products or enhancement works can be carried out on the IL and peripheral systems. This includes updating and uploading tables, defining variables, and coding calculations that accurately reflect the VPMS spreadsheet provided by Actuarial Pricing.
- Ensuring system integrity by performing comprehensive testing between the VPMS model and VPMS spreadsheets to verify the model's accuracy. The testing includes Unit Testing (UT), Mass Unit Testing (MUT), and Regression Testing (RT) to ensure consistency and reliability of the system.
- Supporting users during UAT by providing assistance, troubleshooting problems, making necessary corrections, and ensuring that the models meet user requirements, are accurate, and function as expected.
- Providing ongoing support for the VPMS models once they are in production, resolving any issues that occur, implementing updates or enhancements, and ensuring the models continue to operate smoothly and effectively.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Actuarial Science/Computer Science or other related course with strong numeracy and/or coding elements.
- Competent in Microsoft Office application (Excel, VBA, Word, Power Point) and any other programming language
- Good communication skill
- Good command in English & Bahasa Malaysia
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Able to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines.
- Driven by high desire to acquire knowledge and to deliver results
- Good progress in the Actuarial professional examinations (IOA/IOAA/SOA) [Advantageous but not required].
