It’s an exciting time to be part of the expanding manufacturing sector – come join us!What you’ll do:Reporting to the Production Control Lead, the Manufacturing System Engineer will will be responsible for the development and improvement of existing Production Control systems, processes and procedures to maximize safety, quality and delivery, and to minimise the cost of manufacturing.Duties include: What you’ll bring:Manufacturing Systems & DataMaintain and improve production control systemsEnsure accuracy of BOMs, routings, and inventory dataSupport ERP/MRP system performance and troubleshootingProcess ImprovementDrive continuous improvement using Lean principles (Kanban, 5S)Analyse production data to identify improvementsSupport material flow and PFEP activitiesCollaborationWork with Production, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issuesSupport root cause analysis and corrective actionsCoordinate engineering changes into productionOperational SupportProvide day-to-day support to production teamsDevelop and maintain standard processes and proceduresMonthly inventory control supportExperience & Qualifications:Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related discipline OR Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environmentGCSEs (or equivalent) in English & Maths (Grade C or above)Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, SIGMANEST or similar)Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong IT experience, including using Excel for tracking and reportingStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsGood understanding of manufacturing processes and data systemsClear communicator with good stakeholder engagement skillsOrganised and able to manage multiple prioritiesProactive, adaptable, and results-focusedThis above description is non-exhaustive and there may be additional duties in accordance with the role.Applicants must demonstrate through the application process how they meet the criteria for the position applied for.
