*Resumes must be submitted in English to be considered.*Job DescriptionWe are expanding our Latin American teams by establishing a new São Paulo engineering hub, building multiple new, high-impact engineering teams on the ground. We are looking for ambitious and highly skilled Staff Software Engineers to join these LatAm engineering teams, contributing to the first wave of talent in this hub. This is a unique opportunity to be a foundational member of our São Paulo engineering hub, helping to shape our local culture, processes, and technical direction. You will play a crucial role in expanding our product across Latin American markets, covering Onboarding (Consumer & Business) and Money Movement capabilities by integrating with local partners, connecting with local payment schemes, and building seamless customer journeys across the region, while collaborating closely with our global teams, including helping to shape our global KYC/KYB and money movement systems.Your Role:As a Staff Software Engineer based in our new São Paulo engineering hub, you will be a core contributor within one of the LatAm engineering teams, focused on building robust and scalable capabilities for Onboarding (Consumer & Business) and Money Movement across the diverse Latin American region. You will be instrumental in implementing integrations with banks, payment providers, identity/business verification vendors, and other local partners, connecting our platform to various local payment systems, optimizing onboarding funnels, and handling the complexities of moving money across countries, within your team's specific area of focus.This role requires a high level of technical and product excellence and a passion for building high-quality, scalable, and compliant solutions tailored for the unique financial infrastructure and regulatory landscape of Latin America. You won't just be writing code; you will be involved in proposing solid technical designs, participating in code and design reviews within your team, and collaborating closely with engineers in other global offices to build the core infrastructure that unlocks and grows new markets across LatAm, especially in the area of global KYC/KYB and money movement systems.You will have the chance to significantly contribute to the technical direction for your team's domain, help build a best-in-class engineering organisation right here in São Paulo, leveraging your experience to mentor and coach less experienced team members as we grow the engineering teams in this new hub. You will also collaborate closely with other engineering teams being established in São Paulo, and with global teams in other locations.
What You'll Be Doing:Design, develop, test, and deploy features and services to enable Consumer & Business Onboarding and Money Movement capabilities in existing and new Latin American markets, within your team's focus area.Implement integrations with local banks, payment providers, identity/business verification vendors, and financial partners across the region.Connect the Wise platform to various local payment schemes and networks across Latin America.Automate and improve onboarding workflows and compliance checks (KYC/KYB) for different customer types across the region.Propose and advocate for high-quality technical designs and solutions for...
