Overview
Responsible for the oversight of multiple practices and locations in accordance with the standards of excellence. In collaboration with the service line administrator, service line chief, VP/COO, and practice providers and team, the practice director defines and achieves operational and financial goals for practices under his or her direct supervision. Analyzes data and information to increase access and growth, reduce costs, and create efficiencies within each department. Engages in process improvement, program and system implementation, and facility projects to support and meet the RHS/RMG goals and objectives. Ensures timely feedback and suggests solutions concerning team member and provider and customer service scores. Operationalizes the growth and development of the practice(s) and new service opportunities by utilizing the proper allocation of resources and sound financial management. Provides leadership and guidance to managers and effectively delegates responsibilities and duties. Achieves a collaborative working environment.

What you will do
- Oversees operations; analyzes data and information, identifies opportunities, develops processes and programs to meet our Riverside Care Difference standards for quality, safety and service, to meet our access and growth standards, and to meet our budgetary and resource goals. Supports recruitment efforts to achieve strategy. Manages projects for the division to meet stated goals.
- Effectively communicates with providers, team members, and system leaders to create understanding and buy in of key strategic and operational initiatives. Effectively communicates industry information, corporate information and performance information. Advocates for and offers specialty expertise by challenging, advising and collaborating in program development and work groups.
- Successfully employs strategies and quality controls to ensure compliance with policy and procedure and to ensure standardization across all practices. Seeks to establish and sustain 1) an RMG visual brand and process brand, 2) appropriate environments of care and provider based standards, 3) effective internal resource controls and 4) achievement of performance standards. Conducts audits and rounds at each location.
- Focuses attention on the management of access in practice locations. Reviews scheduling habits and appointment templates and offers recommendations and guidance to the practice leaders and providers to improve access and patient workflow. Analysis key performance data and detailed schedule output. Identifies real and perceived barriers to access throughout the patient workflow and works with providers and team members to create innovative solutions. Ensures new patient growth through standardized processes and specialty wide scheduling techniques. Works with practice leaders and managers to ensure budget compliance and cost reductions. Tracks variances and seeks to minimize.
- Offers leadership and guidance to practice leaders under his or her supervision. Encourages leaders to engage in industry and specialty education and professional development. Using best practice models, effectively delegates responsibilities and duties to ensure operational success and personal and professional job satisfaction. Achieves a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors Degree, Nursing, healthcare or related field (Required)
- Masters Degree, Nursing, healthcare or related field. In lieu of a Masters Degree, the hiring manager may consider 10 years or more experience in Medical Practice Operations based on individual candidate competencies. (Required)
Experience
- 5-6 years Recent experience in a medical office or healthcare setting. (Required)
- 5-6 years Supervisory experience (Preferred)
