Job Description
The Applications Scientist I is responsible for supporting the development of flow cytometry assays and works closely with senior Applications Scientists and other lab personnel. This role involves data generation, data review and troubleshooting assays and products based on specific project requirements as well as creation and review of controlled documents. They will interact directly with key customer accounts evaluating new opportunities, developing solutions, and supporting production activities.
Responsibilities:
Development: Supports development of customer-designed panels to ensure optimum performance. Identifies and troubleshoots new antibody conjugate panels in collaboration with senior Applications Scientists.
Experimentation and Review: Performs and reviews experiments, either conducted by themselves or other associates. Reviews, analyzes, and prepares data for final reporting following GDP standards. Perform basic troubleshooting of performance issues.
Documentation: Develop and write controlled documents, SOPs, and design history files meeting ISO13485 and GMP standards. Generate production documents with specifications for GMP manufacturing under supervision of senior CAS.
Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering quality end-products while adhering to aggressive timelines and collaborating with multiple functional groups such as Manufacturing, QA and Instrumentation. Assists with the investigation of customer-related complaints.
Minimum Requirements:
- Masters Degree level qualification or higher, in Immunology preferred
- Prior experience with flow cytometry
- Experience with antibody conjugate panels, design and data analysis
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) or ISO13485 standards
- Previous work in a regulated laboratory environment

Our pay is based on the role and the necessary skills and education to perform it successfully. The salary or hourly rate offered is determined by the role's specific requirements, including any applicable step rate pay system at the work location. Salary or hourly pay ranges are influenced by labor laws and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) requirements applicable to the work location which may also affect the workplace arrangement of the role.
