Associate Business Analyst
Job Description
What is the opportunity?
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Business Analyst to join our Chief Administration Office on a permanent basis in either London or Edinburgh.
The Chief Administration Office (CAO) supports the Wealth Management Europe (WME) business lines through three core principles. Protect implements and embeds effective first-line controls and processes within the Advice business to ensure good client outcomes from the outset. Sustain acts as the first point of contact between Front Office and Client Facing Teams (CFT), identifying and triaging issues that impact business productivity, efficiency, and performance against KPIs and KRIs. Grow identifies process-related opportunities to increase capacity for Client Facing Teams to pursue new business, including ensuring high-quality data availability, delivering front office change projects, and providing training.
The Intermediate Business Analyst leads business analysis activities for Business Solutions team across Wealth Management Europe (WME). You will own the analysis, design, and delivery of requirements for business-led transformation projects. Working with Project Managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, you will drive requirements clarity, process design, and stakeholder alignment.
RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely.
What will you do?
Lead Requirements Gathering & Documentation
Develop Specification’s – creating user stories and acceptance criteria for business changes
Conduct Gap Analysis and Develop Impact Assessments
Develop Business Cases & Cost-Benefit Analysis
Lead in “to-be” process design
Develop Standard process procedures
Define project specific success metrics
Use data to provide recommendations
Support the solutions team with stakeholder management and project communications
Manage project escalations and feedback
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Demonstrated expertise in business analysis, process improvement, or project management
Proven experience conducting requirements gathering, impact assessment, and process design
Experience in financial services or Wealth Management (preferred)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
Experience with process mapping tools (Visio) or willingness to learn
