We champion an inclusive culture and strive to attract and develop a talented workforce to create and deliver a wide range of content reflecting our world.Job DescriptionWCAU/NBC10, NBCUniversal Local’s television station in Philadelphia, is looking for a Multiplatform Sports MMJ / Producer who can truly do it all - report, shoot, write, edit, produce, and create content across broadcast, digital, and social platforms.This is a hybrid role, split between field reporting and in-house producing, ideal for a journalist who sees sports as more than highlights - someone who can tell compelling stories about the people, issues, and culture shaping sports in a major market.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced newsroom, embraces multi-platform storytelling, and brings a strong understanding of the Philadelphia sports landscape.This is a Thursday-Monday schedule, requiring flexibility for nights, weekends, holidays, and major sporting events. At least two days a week would be focused on producing and anchoring sportscasts, and up to 3 days a week would be content producing for news.Primary ResponsibilitiesGenerate and pitch original sports story ideas; research, schedule, and conduct interviewsReport, write, shoot, and edit sports stories for broadcast, digital, and social platformsProduce sports content, including sportscasts, segments, and shows, under tight deadlinesCover live sporting events and breaking sports news with urgency and accuracyDeliver live reports and storytelling that is compelling, engaging, and authenticCreate consistent digital and social content to expand reach and audience engagementActively use social media as a reporting tool and platform to promote storiesBuild and maintain relationships with athletes, teams, and key community sourcesFollow ongoing stories and develop enterprise content beyond day-of coverageWork collaboratively across newsroom teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentEnsure all content complies with NBCUniversal standards, editorial guidelines, and journalistic ethicsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years of experience in News, Sports Reporting, MMJ work, and/or news/sports productionProven ability to write, shoot, edit, and produce content independentlyExperience producing sportscasts or newsroom content under deadline pressure preferredStrong knowledge of sports, with the ability to cover both breaking news and enterprise storiesMust...
