Overview

LMI is seeking an onsite Intelligence Operations Specialist at Fort Bragg, NC to support a Department of War mission partner’s S2 section with intelligence operations administration, personnel-security coordination, information management, staff actions, and organizational battle rhythm. This role will strengthen the S2 section’s ability to maintain accurate records, manage recurring requirements, coordinate across the staff, and provide timely support to leadership and assigned personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Support the daily administration and coordination of S2 intelligence and security functions.
  • Maintain S2 calendars, battle-rhythm schedules, task trackers, suspense logs, contact rosters, distribution lists, and recurring reporting requirements.
  • Prepare, staff, track, and archive intelligence and security-related correspondence, memoranda, requests for information, briefings, reports, and other staff actions.
  • Support personnel-security administration, including clearance verification, visit requests, in-processing, out-processing, access rosters, and coordination with security managers and servicing security offices.
  • Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation in approved security and information-management systems.
  • Coordinate intelligence-readiness, training, certification, inspection, and records-management requirements.
  • Support the preparation and administration of S2 meetings, intelligence synchronization events, working groups, threat briefings, and command updates.
  • Capture decisions, action items, responsible parties, and suspenses; monitor actions through completion.
  • Coordinate information and requirements across operations, plans, communications, logistics, personnel, protection, and other staff sections.
  • Support intelligence production and dissemination workflows by formatting, routing, tracking, posting, and archiving approved products in accordance with classification and handling requirements.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures, continuity books, desk references, templates, inspection files, and knowledge-management resources.
  • Assist with classified document control, storage, transmission, reproduction, accountability, and destruction in accordance with applicable policy.
  • Identify administrative gaps, overdue actions, record discrepancies, and emerging requirements; coordinate corrective action with the appropriate stakeholder.
  • Protect classified information, controlled unclassified information, personally identifiable information, and other sensitive data.

Qualifications

  • Active Top-Secret security clearance.
  • Prior service in a U.S. Army 35-series intelligence military occupational specialty.
  • Minimum of three years of experience supporting Army intelligence, security, operations, headquarters staff, or national security organizations.
  • Experience working within an Army S2, intelligence staff section, security office, operations center, or comparable military headquarters environment.
  • Familiarity with Army staff processes, battle rhythms, task-management procedures, correspondence, records management, and suspense tracking.
  • Experience supporting personnel-security, access, visit-request, clearance-verification, or classified-information administrative functions.
  • Working knowledge of classification markings, safeguarding requirements, need-to-know principles, and secure handling procedures.
  • Experience developing and maintaining briefings, trackers, reports, standard operating procedures, continuity files, and inspection-ready records.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize competing priorities, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines in a high-tempo environment.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with military personnel, government civilians, contractors, and external security organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in intelligence studies, national security, criminal justice, political science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Special Operations Forces or another operationally focused Army organization.
  • Experience with Defense Information System for Security, security-management, or Army intelligence information systems.
  • Experience supporting command inspections, intelligence oversight, security training, or intelligence-readiness reporting.
  • Graduate-level education in intelligence studies, national security, criminal justice, political science, or a related discipline.

Target salary range: $111,000-$192,000
