Senior Java Developer – Backend & Data Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Architect & Build: Design, develop, and deploy high-performance, secure, and scalable backend applications using Java.
  • Master the Data: Become the subject matter expert for complex data analysis and SQL wizardry. You'll be responsible for designing data structures and optimizing queries for maximum efficiency and performance.
  • Solve Complex Problems: Utilize your in-depth knowledge to analyze complex issues, evaluate business and system processes, and make evaluative judgments to create industry-leading solutions.
  • Champion Quality: Establish and implement new or revised application systems that meet specific business needs, while ensuring essential procedures and operating standards are followed.
  • Collaborate & Mentor: Serve as an advisor and coach to other developers, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Own Your Work: Operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercising your independence of judgment and autonomy to deliver results and manage deadlines.

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Core Expertise: 5-8 years of professional experience with a deep, expert-level proficiency in Java backend development.
  • Data & SQL Mastery: Proven, in-depth expertise in data analysis and advanced SQL. You can wrangle any dataset and make it perform.
  • Proven Track Record: Experience in the systems analysis and programming of sophisticated, data-intensive software applications.
  • Technical Acumen: A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to unexpected changes in requirements.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Nice to Haves: Hands-on experience with modern data technologies like Kafka, MongoDB, or Couchbase is a significant plus.

$96,960.00 - $145,440.00
