PT/Temporary Photojournalist
Responsibilities:
- Capture dynamic video and sound that tells compelling stories from Friday night football games and other sports assignments.
- Edit highlight packages and feature content under tight deadlines for broadcast, streaming and digital platforms.
- Operate an ENG vehicle or IP-based live transmission equipment (TVU) when assigned.
- Set up and execute live shots from game locations when needed.
- Work independently or alongside reporters and producers to deliver high-quality sports coverage.
- Contribute creative ideas that enhance sports storytelling across all platforms.
- Maintain cameras, editing equipment and other assigned gear.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in photojournalism, video editing and non-linear editing systems preferred.
- Strong photography and storytelling skills with an eye for capturing emotion and memorable moments.
- Ability to work efficiently under deadline pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable, dependable and available to work Friday evenings throughout the football season.
- Knowledge of EDIUS or other non-linear editing software preferred.
- Experience with live broadcasting equipment is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a news-gathering vehicle.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
