The opportunity
Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services. Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact
1. You will design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts for various transformer types.
2. You will perform calculations and simulations for electrical parameters such as insulation coordination, short-circuit currents, and thermal performance.
3.You will select and specify electrical components, materials, and equipment based on technical requirements and cost-effectiveness.
4. You will conduct testing and validation of electrical designs and prototypes, identifying and resolving issues.
5. You will collaborate with mechanical engineers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
6. You will develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, test reports, and operating manuals.
7.You will participate in root cause analysis for electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
8. You will stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies in electrical engineering and transformer design.
9. You will support production and quality control activities related to electrical components and systems.
10. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Proven experience in electrical design and development, preferably within the power transformer industry.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, high-voltage engineering, and electromagnetic principles.
4. Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical).
5. Familiarity with relevant international standards (e.g., IEC, ANSI) for transformers and electrical equipment.
6. Experience with electrical testing equipment and procedures.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly.
9. Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
