About the Job
You are the second person in the Finance team after our CFO and take ownership of the operational foundation: procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, budget planning, coordination with accounting and authorities, documentation and reporting. In short, everything that has to be correct, on time and traceable every month. Your reliability is the top priority.
You get a real look at how a growing tech startup builds its finances. You experience funding rounds first-hand, can help set up state-of-the-art digital finance processes, and take on significant responsibility in a fast-growing AI company.
Your mission
What you will do
- Ownership of the procure-to-pay process, including invoice verification, approval workflow and payment processing.
- Operational support and coordination of budget processes at team and company level, and linking budget planning with reporting.
- Preparation of management and investor reporting, as well as compiling relevant KPIs and cash flow planning.
- Coordination with the external accountants.
- Contributing to the evaluation and roll-out of new finance tools, e.g. in the area of spend management.
- Supporting the development and implementation of digital and efficient finance processes.
Our Tech Stack
Your profile
- A completed degree or vocational training, ideally in business administration with a focus on accounting, controlling or finance.
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience, for example in accounting, controlling, tax advisory or auditing.
- Solid Excel skills; experience with modern finance tools is an advantage, DATEV knowledge is a plus.
- Conscientiousness and a sense of responsibility as a basic mindset. You double-check before anything leaves the house, and you would rather ask than assume.
- You see recurring monthly tasks as the basis of a reliable finance function, not as a side matter.
- You speak German and English at a business-fluent level (C1); the company language is English.
