Location Overview
Cboe HQ is located in the historic Old Post Office district, it’s a landmark that blends classic architecture with modern amenities. The building features expansive spaces with high ceilings and large windows, offering an abundance of natural light and panoramic views of the city skyline and the Chicago River.
With its prime location in the heart of downtown, the OPO Building provides easy access to major transportation hubs, including Union Station and multiple CTA lines, making it convenient for commuters. The building is home to a variety of amenities, including restaurants, a fitness center, and collaborative workspaces, creating a vibrant and dynamic work environment in one of Chicago's most iconic areas.
Role Overview
Cboe’s DataVantage business is seeking a Director of Finance to serve as the embedded financial leader for the business unit. Reporting to the SVP, Head of DataVantage, this role acts as a strategic finance partner to business leadership while maintaining strong alignment with Cboe's corporate finance function on reporting, controls, and revenue and expense data. The ideal candidate combines deep financial acumen with genuine business partnership instincts — someone comfortable translating P&L performance into decisions the business can act on.
The position is responsible for leading Business Intelligence, Billing, Budgeting, Forecasting, and other financial reporting functions while coordinating closely with Product, Operations, Corporate Finance, Client Experience, Sales, and other teams across Cboe.
Your responsibilities will be:
Serve as the primary finance advisor to DataVantage leadership, leading financial reviews and delivering thorough quantitative and qualitative analyses. Provide data and commentary for monthly reviews, Board reports, Quarterly Earnings calls, external financial reporting, and ad hoc requests.
Translate financial data into actionable insights that inform pricing, resource allocations, and areas where the business is over/underperforming. Perform variance analysis against budget/forecast and communicate drivers of performance to business and corporate stakeholders
Along with Cboe’s corporate finance teams, ensure accurate and timely recording of revenues and expenses.
Own the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning for DataVantage. Coordinate across various DataVantage businesses and build and maintain financial models.
Along with Cboe finance, implement improvements to financial systems for clear, concise, accurate financial reports.
Track and report on key business metrics (ARR, Sales, Customer Retention) alongside traditional financial KPIs
Partner with Sales to create sales and revenue targets, validate commissions and cross-sell bonuses, and create Sigma Dashboards to illustrate sales performance.
Lead and support automation of DataVantage’s Receivables Collections processes
Implement automation to improve the efficiency and accuracy of billing, data collection, data analyses across DataVantage.
Support internal and external audit requests related to DataVantage's financials
Manage and Develop associates on Billing and BI teams
The ideal candidate has
10+ years of progressive experience, including FP&A, corporate finance, or other financial roles
2+ years' experience working with executives, preparing executive and Board level communications
Clear communication style with an ability to translate financial data into actionable recommendations
Strong financial modeling skills (advanced Excel, SQL or BI tool experience especially Sigma)
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
CPA preferred
Experience in financial data, market data, fintech, or SaaS/subscription businesses preferred

Salary Ranges (applicable for US locations only)
At Cboe, we are committed to providing a competitive, transparent, and market‑informed total rewards program. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $187,000-$242,000, with actual compensation determined by job‑related factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal alignment, and location.
This role may also be eligible for annual incentive compensation and, where applicable, participation in Cboe's long-term equity programs.
