Insituform's businesses consist of sewer, drinking water, and energy and mining pipeline rehabilitation and protection. The company provides cost-effective solutions to remediate operational, health, regulatory and environmental problems resulting from aging and defective pipelines. Insituform's technologies allow its customers to avoid the extraordinary expense and extreme disruption that can result from traditional "dig and replace" methodsResponsibilities:The Material Handler must adhere to all safety, health, attendance, and code of conduct policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook. The Material Handler will be required to perform, but not limited to, the following:Maintain a clean and orderly workplace.Gain an overall understanding of the entire sewing process and knowledge of warehouse.Minimum training time for Material Handlers is ninety (90) days.Assist in maintaining warehouse, rotating inventory, shipping and receiving goods.Must perform safety inspections and maintain forklifts.Must follow all safety procedures and company polices.Other duties as assigned.Physical Demands / Work Environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Physical Demands:  In the performance of duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and hear.  The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stretch, and/or crawl and lift (up to 50 lbs.).  Operate machine tools where a machine time exceeds the handling time.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.Work Environment:  Regularly works near moving mechanical parts.  Occasionally works in high, precarious places.  Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  Must deal with propane flame tanks, scissors, and hand tools.
