Job Description

• As the Product Owner for our internal MS-SQL database, you will take end-to-end responsibility for our transport analytics products. You will steer the product backlog according to business value and drive the development of KPIs and standard reports.
• Acting as the central point of contact for analytics and reporting, you will moderate requirements and communicate results effectively across various departments, IT, and management levels.
• You will design and implement insightful dashboards and reports using Power BI Cloud, translating business needs into technical specifications and ensuring consistent, scalable data models.
• You will spearhead the strategic transition to agentic AI within our reporting landscape, transforming static analytics into autonomous, decision-supporting agents and hence also serve as the use case owner for the “Transport Intelligence Engine”.
• You will be responsible for writing and managing user stories for our Next Generation Transport Management (NGTM) reporting and analytics platform. This includes defining requirements for data transfer from both external and internal sources, overseeing report and dashboard development, and monitoring dataflows.
• You will ensure data quality, transparency, and traceability, actively supporting the development of a data-driven organization within our transport and logistics landscape.

Qualifications

• Education: A university degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a comparable field of study.
• Experience and Know-how:
  • Several years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Data Product Management and Logistics
  • Experience in managing a project team of developers (MS-SQL, Oracle SQL, and Power BI).
  • Strong competence in defining KPIs and data-driven steering, preferably in a logistics or supply chain context.
  • Expertise with BI tools and databases, especially Power BI Cloud, MS-SQL, and Oracle SQL. A solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data architecture is required.
  • Knowledge with regards to SAP and our TMS (Eurolog, BIT, etc) is a strong plus
  • Proven experience working as a Product Owner or in a similar role, ideally with a background in agile methodologies.
• Personality and Work Style: You excel at structuring and processing complex topics independently. You are a confident communicator and moderator across different management levels. You demonstrate a high degree of initiative and strategic thinking, always keeping the common goal in sight.
• Languages: Very good command of English, written and spoken.
