Security Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Responsible for the design, security engineering, and development of an enterprise-grade crypto wallet platform. Design and implement high-performance, secure, resilient, fault-tolerant distributed systems. Implement advanced cryptographic protocols for digital asset security. Responsible for cloud-native infrastructure. Conduct technical code reviews. Ensure the scalability and security of cross-platform applications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Security Engineer, Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Security Engineer, Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Designing and developing secure, resilient, scalable, high- performance distributed systems and applications in Java, J2EE, and Python, and deploying them to the AWS cloud platform using performance optimization techniques, authentication and authorization patterns, and built-in observability methods; Designing and developing public and private RESTful APIs and web services using Spring Boot to expose critical business application functionality; Designing and developing container solutions using Docker and Kubernetes, and deploying them to AWS EKS, EC2, Lambda, and ECS using CI/CD and Jenkins; Provisioning AWS services using Terraform and creating deployment architectures that support cloud auto-scaling and resiliency architectural principles; Conducting performance tuning and optimization including tuning of data persistence layers for SQL and NoSQL DB schemas including RDS and DynamoDB and data ingestion operations from S3 using JMeter and BlazeMeter; Designing and developing secure integrations with OAuth systems including IAM, OpenID, and API Gateways using JWT and JSON; Architecting event-driven systems utilizing Kafka, SQS, and SNS; Building responsive front-end architectures using React, HTML, and CSS; Establishing observability frameworks using Datadog, Dynatrace, and Splunk for distributed tracing and performance monitoring; Managing the end-to-end lifecycle of TLS/SSL certificates including secure storage, retrieval, and automated rotation across distributed servers.
