Context

Vocca builds AI voice agents that run the front desk for medical practices: answering calls, booking and rescheduling appointments, and freeing up staff to focus on care. We've validated strong product-market fit in France (600+ practices, 22x YoY growth), just raised a $25m round, and we're now scaling into the US from our New York office.

Our founding AE is signing the first US logos. Today, no one owns what happens after the signature: configuring, deploying and making these customers successful. We're hiring a founding operator to own deployment end to end, start fully hands-on, then build and lead the US deployment team. You report directly to the CEO.

Your Mission

Deploy and make Vocca's first US clients successful (config, go-live, support, success, account management). Start 100% hands-on for the first month, then write the playbook and build the deployment team that keeps up with US growth, from a handful of centers today to ~$6M ARR deployed and ~6-8 people by end of 2027.

Expected Outcomes

At 3 months:

  • Deep product mastery: you configure and bring centers live independently, without leaning on the French tech team.

  • You absorb the deployment volume (a signed pipeline heading toward ~50 centers/month) with a short, stable time-to-go-live.

  • A v1 onboarding/config playbook taking shape.

At 6 months:

  • Deployment capacity stabilized, playbook v1 in use.

  • First 2-3 deployers hired and ramping under you.

  • A working product-feedback loop from the field back to the product team.

At 12 months:

  • ~$6M ARR deployed and live across US accounts.

  • A team of ~6-8 deployers you've hired and manage, with clear role splits.

  • A replicable US ops function that scales with sales.

What you'll own

Deploy and implement clients (hands-on first)

  • Configure and bring signed accounts into production (setup, integrations, go-live), owning time-to-go-live and a high success rate.

Own the post-sale (« everything but sales »)

  • Success and account management on the first US accounts, so the AE stays focused on hunting. Drive retention and satisfaction.

Build the playbook and the team

  • Write the US ops/implementation playbook, then hire, structure and manage the deployment team (~6-8 by end of 2027).

Close the product loop

  • Bring sharp, field-driven product feedback back to the product team.

This role is for you if

The prerequisites:

  • You have 6+ years in fast-scaling tech and have operated autonomously in a startup or scale-up (or founded one). You don't need ramp-up or hand-holding.

  • You're deeply hands-on and technical: you think in systems and numbers, you've genuinely built and tinkered (config, integrations, automation, no-code), and you can own a product configuration end to end without an engineering team behind you.

  • Strong commercial energy: you can lead a room, you speak well, and you're credible with both a director and their IT.

What we'll assess:

  • Founder mentality: high energy, low maintenance, resourceful, the kind of person you can drop anywhere and who comes back with a plan.

  • Leadership: you can hire, structure and grow a team as the function scales.

  • Product acumen: you turn what you see in the field into product feedback that matters.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in healthcare or with EMRs.

  • You've managed people before.

This role is NOT for you if

  • You need a well-defined environment and a ready-made playbook, and struggle with ambiguity.

  • You're a pure engineer who avoids customers, or a strategist who lives in slides but doesn't get hands-on.

  • You want to manage from day one: this role is hands-on first, team after 1-2 months.

What this role gives you

  • A founding role in Vocca's US launch, owning an entire function from scratch.

  • Direct exposure to the CEO and founding team.

  • The path from individual contributor to leader of the US deployment org.

  • A steep learning curve across deployment, product and team building in a high-growth AI company.

Role evolution

You start as an individual contributor, deploying customers with your own hands. As you write the playbook, you move into hiring and dividing up the work, and grow into leading the US deployment/ops team, with a clear path toward a Head of Ops US scope.

Compensation

  • $200k-$300k OTE.

  • Founding-team equity.

  • Based in New York, ~3 days/week in the office.

Hiring process

  1. Initial screen with Hector, Talent Partner (30 min).

  2. Hiring Manager interview (45 min) with the CEO or a member of the leadership team.

  3. Take-home case: a real product-configuration exercise.

  4. Live case (~1h30): config debrief + a client kick-off simulation.

  5. Culture-fit interview with the team.

  6. References and offer.

We aim to keep the process within 30 days. You’ll receive continuous feedback throughout.

Why should you join Vocca?

  • An entrepreneurial adventure, with a supportive, high-energy, execution-focused team

  • A product already live, with delighted customers in a fast-growing market (healthcare automation, voice AI)

  • A true scaling phase, with everything still to build

  • Real responsibilities from day one

We hire people, not roles.

If you're excited about our opportunities but don't check every box, we'd love to hear from you. Everyone, no matter how underrepresented, should feel free to apply as it can only bring learnings or success. If you identify yourself as a woman: Did you know that research shows women often apply only when meeting 100% of requirements?

We'll be thrilled to receive your application!
