Utilising this knowledge and experience Thales Australia will deliver a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (OneSKY) in Australia to Airservices Australia and Defence.

Your role
The Supportability Engineering Manager is accountable for the effective development and delivery of all Support Solution Engineering deliverables and outcomes from the Contractor to the Customer, ensuring outcomes are achieved through a highly capable, flexible and responsive workforce.
Reporting to the OneSKY Support Services Director, the Supportability Engineering Manager holds primary responsibility for the full scope of development and delivery of the support engineering design and artefacts in addition to the development, initiation and activation of this required support services in the lead-up to the Support Contract ‘go-live’, and thereafter in Sustainment. This includes, inter alia, Integrated Logistics Support, Logistic Support Analysis, outcome of the analyses, development of the Support Solution based on the completed analyses and then the stand-up and go-live of that support organisation working to the OneSKY Support Services Director. The role is also responsible for fostering and maintaining a strong strategic partnership with the Customer, ensuring alignment of objectives, service excellence, and long‑term value creation.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of contracted Support Services, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely outcomes
- Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to align with customer expectations and contractual standards
- Provide direct support and specialist guidance to the OneSKY Support Services Director
- Oversee full Service Delivery lifecycle to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and operational excellence
- Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and service innovation throughout service delivery
- Support Supportability Engineering activities including bidding, validation, identifying pain points, and developing solutions to enhance customer experience and grow services portfolio
Your experience
To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:
- Extensive experience in capability support definition and supportability engineering. - Extensive experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Logistic Support Analysis (LSA)
- and (desirably) design of support systems and solutions
- Experience in the transition from design to functioning of Support systems and solutions
- Experience in the delivery and conduct of Capability Support Services or operations
- management within a complex, multi-stakeholder Defence, aviation, infrastructure, or
- similarly regulated sectors
- Experience in managing relationships at senior levels, including negotiation, issue resolution
- and strategic partnership development
- Experience in delivering outcomes within financial, contractual, and performance frameworks, including budget management and reporting
- Familiarity with contracted service environments, including performance-based contracts, SLAs, KPIs, and governance processes
- Demonstrated prior experience in successfully working within high-performing teams in dynamic, customer-driven environments
- Commercial acumen, analytical capability, and strong decision-making judgement
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills
A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
