Master Scheduler II
Johnson Controls is seeking a Master Scheduler II to help connect our Global Regions and Applied Equipment Manufacturing Plants. In this highly visible role, you will support accurate lead times, dependable scheduling, and timely communication across the teams that help deliver customer commitments.
You will work with internal partners and external suppliers to keep planning data current, respond quickly to changes, and support efficient order flow through the manufacturing process.
Role Overview
This role serves as the scheduling and prioritizing link between Customer Service, Manufacturing, Product Management, Engineering, and third-party suppliers. You will help maintain plant schedules, support supply-demand planning, and manage changes that affect order dates, manufacturing holds, and revision charges.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate scheduling priorities between Applied Equipment departments, manufacturing plants, and external partners to maintain order schedules and optimize production capability.
Communicate and document accurate chiller lead times while ensuring proper plant scheduling.
Support supply-demand activities, including the Sales and Operations Planning process.
Track lead time for processing orders between Customer Service and the Manufacturing Plants and identify opportunities to improve performance.
Help reduce time lost on orders placed on manufacturing hold.
Maintain professional working relationships with Sales, Service, Customers, Suppliers, Product Management, and Engineering to keep communication and information flow efficient and timely.
React to engineering changes that affect product ordering and order status.
Proactively communicate issues related to delays or accelerations in scheduled dates.
Complete other assignments as needed.
How You Will Do It
Own schedule commitments with accuracy, accountability, and a strong focus on customer impact and business objectives.
Work proactively to anticipate risks, resolve blockers, and keep lead times, revision impacts, and date changes visible early.
Stay close to the work by partnering directly with plants, Customer Service, Engineering, Product Management, and suppliers to move issues forward quickly.
Use clear, professional communication with senior leaders and cross-functional partners, adapting your style to the audience and the situation.
Look for ways to improve daily by documenting issues, learning from exceptions, and strengthening scheduling processes over time.
Balance independent execution with thoughtful escalation when organizational tension or conflicting priorities arise.
Qualifications
University degree and at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing scheduling or project management.
Non-degree candidates with at least 10 years of manufacturing scheduling or project management experience will also be considered.
Ability to work effectively and independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work with senior stakeholders across different geographies and functional disciplines.
Comfort maintaining VP- and Director-level relationships and adapting communication style appropriately.
Proficiency with Microsoft PC applications.
Ability to learn new technologies as needed.
Minimal travel required.
Nice to Have
Exposure to business-based systems such as Oracle.
Experience supporting S&OP, ERP/MRP-based planning, or master scheduling processes.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $87K-$117K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
