Join the technology revolution and make the impossible, possible. Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Software Engineer 3 to join the Systems Infrastructure Engineering (SIE) team based out of the Autonomous Design Center of Excellence (CoE) in San Diego, California. Key Responsibilities:Leading a team of engineers and providing daily tasking that’s consistent with the current prioritiesMaintaining an Agile development workflow that’s already establishedAdministration and troubleshooting of Linux (RHEL / CENTOS) 6/7/8 servers and workstationsAdministration and troubleshooting of Windows Server 2008 / 2016, and Windows 7 / 10 systemsAdministration and troubleshooting of VMWare vSphere systems (VCSA and ESXi) systemsAutomate system maintenance tasks with scripting tools (PowerSHell, Python, Ansible, etc.) Enforce cybersecurity compliance through the use of security frameworks and remediation tools (SCC SCAP scanner, STIG Viewer, and eventually Nessus)Maintain proper configuration management with engineering document lifecycle tools (Team Center Enterprise) Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with at least 5 years of experience, OR a Master Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with at least 3 years of experience, OR a PhD in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with at least 0 years of experienceMinimum of 4 years installing, configuring, maintaining and administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6/7/8 servers and workstationsMinimum of 4 years installing, configuring, maintaining and administration of Windows-based servers and workstationsMeets DoD IAT requirements for security certification for classified systems administrators, or be in the process of obtaining one (i.e., Security+, CISSP, etc.)Must have an active Secret (or higher) clearancePreferred Qualifications:Experience with VMWare infrastructureExperience with AnsibleCertification from VMWare, Windows (MCSE), and/or RedHat with Satellite AdministrationUS Passport and ability to frequently travel overseas Your PrivacyBy clicking “Accept All Cookies” you agree to the storing of cookies on your device to enhance site navigation, analyze site usage, and assist in our marketing efforts.Learn MoreCookies Settings Reject All Accept All CookiesPrivacy Preference CenterWhen you visit any website, it may store or retrieve information on your browser, mostly in the form of cookies.
