Global Industrial Automation Program Coordinator

This role supports the global deployment of industrial automation initiatives by coordinating projects, standardizing execution, and collaborating with engineering, operations, and site stakeholders. The position combines program coordination with hands-on field support to ensure automation systems are successfully implemented and maintained across multiple facilities. The individual will work in both office and industrial environments while supporting the continuous improvement of automation programs worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage project intake, prioritization, scheduling, and execution tracking for global industrial automation initiatives.
  • Coordinate project scope development, site assessments, proposals, and resource planning activities.
  • Develop and maintain project dashboards, forecasts, KPI reports, and performance metrics.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across multiple global sites.
  • Standardize automation deployment processes, templates, work packages, and project documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and program scalability.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and startup of industrial automation and monitoring systems.
  • Assist with low-voltage wiring, field device installation, control panel modifications, and sensor integration activities.
  • Perform field verification of instrumentation, sensors, transmitters, and automation equipment.
  • Support troubleshooting of PLC-based control systems, instrumentation circuits, and industrial communication networks.
  • Assist with vibration monitoring, predictive maintenance, and condition monitoring deployments.
  • Review control drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and instrumentation documentation to support project execution.
  • Conduct field walkdowns and equipment assessments to identify automation improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate and support installation of sensors, transmitters, control devices, and communication infrastructure.
  • Support commissioning activities including loop checks, functional testing, system validation, and startup readiness.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintain project documentation, progress reports, commissioning records, and deployment status updates.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and standardization of global automation practices.
  • Ensure compliance with site safety requirements, company standards, and project specifications.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.

Skills Required:

  • Experience in project coordination, project management, commissioning, operations, maintenance, industrial automation, electrical, or instrumentation environments.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Basic understanding of industrial control systems and instrumentation.
  • Experience with PLCs, SCADA, DCS, or industrial control systems.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation, sensors, transmitters, vibration monitoring, and predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Knowledge of low-voltage wiring, control panels, field devices, and commissioning activities.
  • Working knowledge of industrial networking protocols and Industrial IoT technologies.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Smartsheet, or similar reporting platforms.
  • Ability to review P&IDs, wiring diagrams, control drawings, and instrumentation documentation.
  • Willingness to work in both office and industrial field environments.
  • Semiconductor, facilities, commissioning, manufacturing, or industrial automation experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

Education / Licenses / Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Project Management certification preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • PLC, SCADA, or industrial automation certifications preferred.
    Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
