Job Description

We are seeking a senior, hands-on Full-Stack Software Engineer to support SEO-focused web initiatives within a large enterprise organization. This role has a strong frontend emphasis while also requiring solid backend development capabilities with Java and Spring Boot.

The ideal candidate can independently take features from initial requirements through technical design, estimation, implementation, deployment, and production support. This person will work directly with a Product Manager and Engineering Lead and must be comfortable translating ambiguous requirements, negotiating scope, surfacing blockers, and making sound technical trade-offs with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

* Build and maintain production-quality web applications using React, TypeScript or modern JavaScript, Java, and Spring Boot.

* Independently own features from requirements and technical design through production deployment.

* Translate ambiguous product and business requirements into actionable technical solutions.

* Scope engineering projects, estimate delivery timelines, and manage work through completion.

* Evaluate technical options and make sound trade-offs involving scope, quality, performance, and delivery timelines.

* Collaborate directly with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to clarify requirements and keep delivery on track.

* Communicate risks, dependencies, blockers, and changes in scope clearly and proactively.

* Contribute to frontend and backend implementation while maintaining a strong emphasis on frontend development.

* Maintain and improve existing production web applications.

* Work autonomously in a fast-paced Agile engineering environment.

* Collaborate with UX Design and Marketing partners when required.

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

* 5+ years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer.

* Strong professional experience with frontend development.

* Strong hands-on experience with React.

* Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript or modern JavaScript.

* Solid backend development experience with Java.

* Solid backend development experience with Spring Boot.

* Experience building and maintaining production-quality web applications.

* Proven ability to independently own features from design through production deployment.

* Experience breaking down ambiguous requirements into actionable technical solutions.

* Strong experience estimating engineering work and delivery timelines.

* Experience managing scope and making sound technical trade-offs.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Experience collaborating directly with Product Managers and Engineering Leads.

* Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

* Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills

* Previous experience as a Technical Lead or Lead Software Engineer.

* Experience serving as the technical owner for major engineering initiatives.

* Experience developing SEO-focused web applications.

* Experience developing high-traffic consumer web applications.

* Experience collaborating with UX Designers and Marketing teams.

* Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical guidance.

* Familiarity with web performance optimization.

* Familiarity with accessibility and broader web-development best practices.

* Experience working in large-scale, distributed engineering organizations.

* Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

* Experience with automated testing and modern software-development practices.

* Enterprise experience strongly preferred.
