Description
Quantum-Art is a full-stack quantum computing company developing state-of-the-art quantum computing systems based on trapped-ion technology, encompassing both hardware and software. As part of our mission, the Theory and Algorithms Group models the performance of our Quantum Processing Units (QPUs), develops novel quantum gates and circuits, and designs new algorithms capable of solving computationally hard problems beyond the reach of current classical methods.We are seeking an excellent and highly skilled physicist to join this group.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and apply numerical simulations and analytical models of the quantum computer.Design, simulate, and validate advanced, robust, high-fidelity quantum logic gates and circuits.Develop tools for efficient evaluation, characterization, and validation of QPU performance.Collaborate extensively with the QPU group, jointly leading efforts toward high-performance and scalable quantum computers.
Requirements
Ph.D. in Physics (exceptional candidates with an M.Sc. will be considered).Strong background in quantum science and technology.Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.Background in AMO physics — an advantage.Background in computer science and algorithms — an advantage.Strong teamwork skills, with very good communication, presentation, and reporting abilities.Software development experience, including proficiency in Python or Julia, and familiarity with symbolic tools such as Mathematica.GeneralWe are located at the Science Park, by the Weizmann institute.Contact information: jobs@quantum-art.tech OR Quantum Art @ LinkedInOnly relevant candidates will be contacted
