Nursing Quality and Outcomes Lead
Tend is reimagining what primary healthcare looks like in Aotearoa - and our nursing teams are at the heart of that mission. We're looking for a Nursing Quality and Outcomes Lead to drive clinical excellence, health equity, and measurable outcomes across our network of clinics.
This isn't a desk-bound quality role. You'll stay connected to the frontline through regular clinical practice, working alongside Nurse Managers and clinical teams to turn strategy into real, everyday improvements in patient care.
What you'll do:
Lead Tend's nursing quality framework and drive continuous improvement across every clinic
Own our health outcomes work programme - immunisation, proactive screening, long-term condition management - translating strategy into practical, clinic-level action
Report on performance to audiences ranging from clinic teams to executive leadership, PHOs and funders
Champion equity and Te Tiriti o Waitangi in everything from policy to programme design
Build genuine, trusted relationships with Nurse Managers, clinical leads and operational teams across the motu
What you'll bring:
Current NZ nursing registration (RN) with a strong primary care/community health background
A track record of leading quality improvement and driving change across clinical teams
Confidence working with data - turning numbers into insight, and insight into action
A collaborative, credible leadership style that earns trust on the ground, not just in the boardroom
A genuine commitment to equitable outcomes for Māori and other priority populations
Why Tend:
You'll join a nursing leadership team that's ambitious about what primary care can be - backed by an organisation investing in technology, data and people to make it happen. This is a role for someone who wants their fingerprints on nursing quality at a national scale, while staying grounded in real patient care.
Ready to lead nursing quality at Tend? We'd love to hear from you.
