Job Description

Inviting applications for the role of Manager- Insurance Investment Accounting

Responsibilities:

• Portfolio oversight: Manage the accurate recording and tracking of investment portfolios, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Valuation management: Oversee regular valuation analyses of investment assets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant accounting principles.
• Transaction reconciliation leadership: Lead reconciliations of investment transactions, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
• Comprehensive reporting: Direct the preparation of detailed reports on investment performance, including gains, losses, and valuations, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
• Audit coordination: Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation and information related to investment accounts.
• Regulatory compliance assurance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls related to investment accounting.
• Process improvement initiatives: Identify and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of investment accounting processes.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• CA / CPA / M-Com / B-Com or Graduate in Finance
• Relevant years of experience in managing F&A Insurance Investment processes
• Experience in working with an insurance client is must
• Experience in SAP IMA and IFRS9 reporting

Preferred Skill Set:

• Investment Product knowledge like Equity, Bonds, Derivatives etc.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting proceduresUnderstanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)Experience with accounting software, like SAP, Blackline, etc.Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior managementExcellent analytical skills with an attention to detailSelf-starter, with ability to work under own initiativeStrong time management skillsIntegrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
