About the Role

We have an opportunity for a part-time Administration Assistant to join our WA Mining team at Willowdale Minesite. This 0.5 FTE role will provide confidential, high-quality administrative support to the relevant Department Manager or Supervisor and their team, helping keep day-to-day operations, reporting, scheduling and communication running smoothly.

In this role, you will play an important part in supporting an efficient and well-organised department by coordinating administrative processes, preparing reports and correspondence, managing scheduling requirements, and acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing confidential administrative and personal assistant support to the Department Manager or Supervisor.

  • Coordinating diary management, scheduling requirements, meetings, travel and accommodation arrangements.

  • Preparing reports, presentations, correspondence, spreadsheets and other documentation to support departmental requirements.

  • Supporting administrative systems, data input, reporting processes and follow-up actions to ensure timely and accurate information flow.

  • Assisting with stationery, office equipment, purchasing processes and other department support activities.

  • Acting as a trusted point of contact and resource for the team, using sound judgement and professionalism when responding to enquiries.

  • Strong administration, coordination and organisational skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Confidence preparing correspondence, reports, presentations and spreadsheets.

  • Strong attention to detail, time management and follow-up skills.

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office systems and other business or administrative systems.

  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to support team members across a range of administrative requirements.

About the Location

Willowdale is one of our two bauxite mines in Western Australia, and is located in the Darling Scarp east of Waroona and Cookernup. It supplies bauxite ore to the Wagerup Alumina Refinery via a direct overland conveying system and helps to produce almost half of Australia’s alumina and approximately 19 per cent of Australia’s aluminium.
