Position Summary
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for managing the end-to-end shipping process for domestic and international shipments across air, sea, and land transportation. The role ensures timely and cost-effective movement of goods while maintaining compliance with customs regulations, company policies, and customer requirements. Working closely with internal stakeholders, freight forwarders, customs agents, and global logistics partners, the Shipping Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring shipment visibility, accurate documentation, invoice validation, and resolution of logistics-related issues.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate end-to-end shipment execution for inbound and outbound shipments across air, sea, and road transportation.
- Manage local and international transportation activities to ensure timely pickup, transit, customs clearance, and final delivery.
- Track shipments from dispatch through final delivery, providing regular status updates and maintaining shipment visibility in company systems.
- Ensure Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation is collected, verified, and uploaded into the Enterprise Planning (EP) system.
- Coordinate closely with global and local freight forwarders to manage shipment schedules, transportation planning, and issue resolution.
- Support customs clearance activities for inbound shipments by coordinating with freight forwarders and ensuring required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Monitor shipment exceptions, delays, and transportation risks, taking proactive actions to minimize business impact.
- Manage logistics quality issues including NCR (NonConformance Reports) and CDA (Corrective & Preventive Action) activities, working with customers, freight forwarders, and headquarters to resolve issues.
- Review, validate, and approve freight forwarder invoices to ensure billing accuracy and compliance with agreed commercial terms.
- Prepare and publish daily and weekly logistics reports, including shipment pickups, ETA updates, priority shipments, delivery performance, and operational metrics.
- Maintain accurate logistics records and ensure compliance with company procedures, transportation regulations, and audit requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency, shipment visibility, and transportation performance.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 3–6 years of experience in logistics, shipping coordination, freight management, or supply chain operations.
- Experience working with international freight forwarders and customs processes is preferred.
- Exposure to ERP systems and logistics management platforms is an advantage.
