Pharmacist Full Time Nights Facility Southern Regional Medical Center Location US-GA-Riverdale ID 2026-270667 Category Clinical Professional Position Type Full Time Shift Nights Job Type Non-Exempt Overview Shifts Available: Nights Employment Type: Full Time Hours: 8 Hour Shifts  10pm-6:15am Location: Southern Regional  Medical Center, Riverdale, GA Responsibilities Conduct patient interviews to obtain accurate and complete medication histories during admission or transition of care Review and verify physician medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, route of administration, frequency, and potential drug interactions Ensure medication orders comply with hospital protocols, clinical guidelines, and patient-specific factors (e.g., renal function, allergies, weight) Prepare and dispense medications accurately, including IV admixtures, unit-dose medications, and controlled substances, following all safety and sterility protocols Monitor medication therapies and provide clinical recommendations to optimize therapeutic outcomes and minimize adverse drug events Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust patient-specific medication plans Coordinate daily operations within the pharmacy to ensure efficient medication distribution and inventory management Deliver pharmaceutical care to a wide range of inpatient units, including – General Medicine/Surgery, Intensive Care Units (ICU), Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Department, Oncology, Perioperative Services, Geriatrics and other departments  Qualifications Education and Work Experience 1. Current state Registered Pharmacist License.2. Experience in hospital pharmacy operations preferred.3. B.S. degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred. 4.
