The Twinscan Factory (TF) is responsible for the production of ASML lithography systems including planning and logistics. A place where we strive to be the role model Lean Factory where quality comes first but where safety goes before all.

Within this sector ASML Motion factory is responsible for production and qualification of complex, high quality litho-specific linear actuators for the ASML Litho Systems (XT, NXT, NXE, EXE). These systems are built and delivered according to customer requirements, in time and at the right quality. Mission
The goal is to produce actuators to the highest quality by creating an optimized production process. To design, maintain, adapt to changed output requirements and to optimize production processes as well as to develop and apply methods of measuring the performance of the production process.

Job description

As a Production Engineer for Serial Path, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for supporting the final assembly, potting and  qualification of our linear actuators. In this role, you play a key part in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality and reliability standards before they are delivered to the customers of ASML Motion factory.
With your background in Process optimization, production line design and lean manufacturing, you are able to design and optimize flow throughout the production and qualification process at Serial Path.

You are responsible to translate capability requests towards efficient stage lay-outs, floor space usage,  tooling capability and more.

Within this field of expertise you:

  • Perform work preparation in the broadest sense. Lays down operating instructions, process flow charts, production sequence, production tooling, process parameters and indicators;
  • Provide second line support (SLS) to the production organization when First Line Support (FLS) requests additional help to solve disturbances in the production process;
  • Perform failure analysis on (customer) quality complaints and nonconforming products and processes;
  • Provide technical knowledge to support and improve the production process;
  • Coach and train operators and engineers to secure skills, product and process knowledge;
  • Provide technical knowledge to support New Product Introduction (NPI);
  • Be the technical knowledge owner of all production processes;
  • Continuously analyze the production processes, points out structural problems and bottlenecks, works out suggestions for improvements and initiates their implementation, often in close cooperation with the surrounded departments as Development and Engineering (D&E), Production Natural Team and Logistics at ASML Motion.
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement Teams 


Within the Production Engineering group there is the possibility to grow towards a coordinating role, focusing on work distribution and prioritization, escalation management, the development of junior engineers and support in complex (cross department) projects and topics.  
 

Education & experience

Bachelor degeree in Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Electronics/ Applied Physics / Industrial Engineering

Experience in a production environment with high tech products and complex production processes.

  • Experience in the field of Technical Production Engineering and quality methodology such as statistical process control (SPC) and methods such as FMEA is an advantage.
  • Experience in the field of (semi-) automated production lines and control is an advantage.
  • 3-5 year relevant work experience is preferred

Skills

  • Combining an analytical approach with a hands-on mentality.
  • Focused on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Good social and communication skills to work with other departments, such as production and development engineering.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good project management skills is preferred

Other information
