## Grow with us
Ericsson will not provide immigration support at this time.
About this opportunity:
Ericsson is looking for a Baseband Systems Developer to drive systemization and performance analysis of advanced 5G and future 6G radio features. You will contribute to system design, simulations, verification, and customer support in a global R&D environment. You'll contribute to the research, design, and performance analysis of advanced radio features that define how billions of people connect.
Ericsson has been shaping communications technology for over 140 years — and right now is one of the most exciting moments in our history. With 5G scaling globally and 6G research accelerating, there has never been a better time to join and grow with us.
We believe that great engineers are developed, not just hired. If you're passionate about wireless technology and ready to invest in your craft, we'll invest right back.
Ericsson is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and are committed to building diverse, inclusive teams where everyone can do their best work.
## What you will do:
* Learn and contribute to the systemization of Baseband features in the Physical Layer and Radio Resource Management (RRM) — think Beamforming, Massive MIMO, Carrier Aggregation, and Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS)
* Support the specification of 5G and 6G system functionality, including requirements, algorithms, and use cases — you'll see how cutting-edge standards are actually built
* Develop and maintain simulations at both the link-level and network-level — a fantastic way to build deep technical intuition early in your career
* Assist in system verification, analyze test results, and contribute to technical quality discussions alongside experienced engineers
* Participate in design reviews and grow your ability to contribute to complex cross-functional technical conversations
* Get exposure to real customer deployments, understanding how R&D work translates into live networks around the world
## The skills you will bring:
* M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
* 0-5 year of experience programming in C/C++, Java, or MATLAB — Python is a bonus; we care more about your fundamentals and willingness to grow than mastery of every language
* Foundational knowledge of wireless communications theory — coursework in signal processing, OFDM, MIMO, or radio systems is exactly the kind of background we value
* Some familiarity with 3GPP standards — even academic exposure is a great starting point
* Curiosity, a problem-solving mindset, and the drive to work through complex technical challenges
Nice to have:
* Exposure to simulation environments (link-level or system-level) through coursework or research projects
* Any interest or coursework in cloud-native, virtualized RAN, or O-RAN concepts
* Awareness of how AI/ML is being applied to next-generation telecom systems — this space is growing fast and we'd love engineers who are excited about it
