Role Overview 

The Senior Analyst, Sales Operations plays a critical role in driving operational excellence through data-driven insights, sales planning, forecasting, and business analytics. This position partners closely with Sales, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Customer Service, and Executive Leadership to support strategic decision-making, optimize sales performance, improve forecast accuracy, and enhance overall business operations.

This role is highly cross-functional and serves as a key liaison between internal teams and customer-facing partners. The Senior Analyst will own forecasting, reporting, open order management, and operational reporting while ensuring accurate communication around purchase orders, shipments, invoicing, and inventory movement. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is comfortable navigating evolving processes while driving continuous improvement.


Responsibilities

Sales Planning, Forecasting & Reporting

  • Own monthly forecasting activities, with a strong focus on beginning-of-month forecasting and reporting for the Business Unit.
  • Prepare and communicate current month forecasts, revenue projections, and business performance updates to leadership.
  • Analyze historical sales, customer demand, market trends, and inventory to support monthly, quarterly, and annual sales planning.
  • Partner with Sales, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service to maintain accurate forecasts and recommend adjustments based on business performance.
  • Develop, automate, and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and recurring reports using Excel, CRM platforms, and business intelligence tools.
  • Support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), budgeting, and long-range planning initiatives.

Order Management & Cross-Functional Operations

  • Review and monitor open order reports on a daily basis to ensure accurate order visibility and timely execution.
  • Partner closely with Logistics to monitor inbound and outbound shipments, delivery timelines, and transportation updates.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Customer Service regarding order status, invoicing, shipment activity, and customer inquiries.
  • Review in-transit inventory and shipment reports to ensure products have been delivered and invoiced accurately.
  • Partner with Finance to validate invoicing status, reconcile reporting, and improve financial visibility across the business.
  • Ensure product costs, shipment information, and reporting are accurate and aligned across internal systems.

Business Analytics & Process Improvement

  • Identify reporting discrepancies and proactively resolve data issues to improve business accuracy.
  • Streamline reporting processes through automation and continuous process improvements.
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to simplify reporting, improve efficiencies, and enhance business processes.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and present actionable recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Support sales incentive reporting, performance tracking, and other strategic business initiatives.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Planning, Business Analytics, Demand Planning, Revenue Operations, Supply Chain, or a related analytical role.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Power Query, and complex formulas.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting forecasting, open order management, inventory reporting, logistics coordination, and financial reporting.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, or high-growth environment where priorities evolve and processes continue to mature.
  • Proven ability to wear multiple hats, adapt quickly to change, and take ownership across a variety of business functions.
  • Positive, solutions-oriented mindset with the flexibility to navigate ambiguity and continuously improve processes.
  • Strong interest in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to automate reporting, simplify workflows, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Finance, Logistics, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


This is a hybrid role, with 4 days in our NYC office 

 

PAY RATE: $75,000/yr-$80,000/yr
