THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT AT DOTT Full-time, permanent, and hybrid (4 days/week in the office). As Head of Financial Operations, you will combine Group financial control with operational leadership of our Wroclaw Finance teams across Record to Report, Purchase to Pay & Accounts Receivable - a team of 18 finance professionals supporting our 20 markets. Reporting into the VP Finance, you will own the output of transactional finance, our financial close & reporting and statutory compliance. As a hands on leader & the senior finance professional on site in Wroclaw, you will manage, motivate & inspire diverse teams under the premise of our Dott values & Dott Finance principles. We are building an AI-native finance function and this role sits at the centre of that agenda to reshape a modern finance operation. You will be the primary link with group leadership and accountable for key outcomes. The role goes beyond traditional financial control - it is an opportunity to own the true engine of a scale up finance function. Financial Control & Reporting Oversee the RTR process, including general ledger accounting, development of financial reporting packs shared with group accounting and FP&A, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities for the Group’s operating markets spread across Europe and the Middle East Own the Closing Calendar, driving a culture of quality, review & timely delivery Ensure robust review and full ownership of the quality and output of reporting, including P&L accuracy, balance sheet movements and variances Maintain and strengthen the internal control environment, ensuring processes are documented, controls operate effectively and risks are escalated early with proposed solutions Own the relationship with our external auditors for all provided by client requests produced out of Wrocław: plan and manage deliverables, proactively anticipate issues, and problem-solve findings through to resolution Financial Operations Accountable for our P2P & AR functions, establishing robust financial controls to ensure accurate accounting and a sound P2P and AR control environment Own and develop our P2P automation roadmap, improving vendor management, invoice recognition, data entry & workflow automation using AI tools where necessary Evolve SOPs and policies in line with growth & complexity of the business Partner with Treasury function to support Group wide cash management Partner with senior business stakeholders, ensuring service performance meets business expectations Transformation & Continuous Improvement Set and own the agenda for finance process improvement: identify bottlenecks, standardise and automate workflows, and lead improvement initiatives from design through implementation Define, implement & report KPIs across the teams that support a culture of accountability, transparency & continuous improvement Build for the future & embrace AI - identify opportunities to improve processes, systems & data automation that move towards an AI native finance operations function Leadership & Stakeholder Management Lead, coach & develop the Financial Operations team through a performance management mindset with objectives, feedback and career development Maintain an engaging, collaborative & positive working environment that upholds Dott values and our Dott Finance principles Drive culture of accountability, high performance & continuous improvement Collaborate with key stakeholders across Finance and the wider business as a visible, trusted point of contact for financial operations matters YOU’LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent are preferred Extensive post-qualification experience in accounting, controllership or financial operations, including several years leading and developing teams Strong technical accounting foundation with hands-on experience of transactional accounting, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting; IFRS experience required A track record of leading process improvement, standardisation or automation initiatives in a finance environment; experience in a shared services or multi-entity, multi-country setup is a strong plus Experience managing external audit relationships and deliverables an advantage Proficient with ERP and financial systems (e.g. NetSuite) and advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills High-energy, personable and proactive — you communicate clearly, build relationships easily, and are not afraid to challenge, escalate and engage stakeholders across functions and seniority levels An ownership mindset: you hold yourself accountable for outcomes, dig into the detail when needed, and raise the bar for quality Fluent Polish & English (our company language); Additional languages an advantage THIS MAY INSPIRE YOU (ALWAYS DOUBLE-CHECK) 🏢 Hybrid work: 4 days in the office 💻 Our one-time home office bonus upon your start to create your ideal home office setup 📚 Our annual learning & development budget 🛴 Our rides program with availability to opt in and opt out to ride our e-scooters & e-bikes ☀️ Our partnership for mental health at work, with free 1-on-1 video counselling, self-guided development, and more 🌴 Our sabbatical program ⏳ Our flexible hours and 1-month remote working option 🏳️🌈 Our diversity and inclusivity initiatives and programs 🎉 Our public holiday swap, with which you can switch two public holidays to another day 🌍 Our voluntary day off for charity work * benefits may vary depending on country and position We actively encourage a diverse and inclusive environment that fosters each employee’s individuality at Dott.
