Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Logistics Analyst to optimize our global supply chain operations. This role will involve analyzing complex logistics data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance for Hitachi, Ltd.
The Role
Conduct in-depth analysis of logistics data, including transportation costs, inventory levels, warehousing efficiency, and delivery timelines.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain processes, reduce lead times, and improve overall operational efficiency.
Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to forecast demand, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, manufacturing, sales, and IT, to ensure seamless logistics integration.
Manage and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics and supply chain, providing regular reports and recommendations to management.
Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements across the logistics network.
Evaluate and select third-party logistics (3PL) providers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
Ensure compliance with all relevant international and domestic shipping regulations and customs requirements.
Lead or participate in logistics-related projects, from conceptualization to implementation and post-implementation review.
Develop and deliver training to internal teams on logistics best practices and new system functionalities.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
More than 3 years of progressive experience in logistics analysis, supply chain management, or a similar role, preferably within a large multinational corporation.
Strong understanding of global logistics principles, transportation modes (ocean, air, road, rail), warehousing operations, and customs procedures.
Demonstrated ability to identify complex problems, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Project management experience and the ability to lead initiatives independently.
Ability to travel internationally as needed.
Advanced/Fluent English level.
